Hello Lovelies, it’s launch day here at Tiffaney Childs Photography, and I am so excited to share my newly rebranded and designed Showit5 website and journal with you! I have spent several months narrowing down the exact design and intention of my rebranding, and with the help of the lovely Brianna, from Palm & Co, it has all come to life. She is imaginative and gracious, but most of all PATIENT(Thanks again, Bri). I’m a little bit type A, and have pretty specific taste(Sorry, again, Bri). I wanted my rebrand to be about more than just the colors or fonts I have chosen(Do you know how many fonts there are?!?), but also the feeling someone has when they see my images displayed. I knew I fancied a site that was simple and elegant with a feminine touch. It wasn’t easy, and it has definitely been trial & error. I’m so happy with the final product, and love all of the little finishing touches throughout.
A few months ago, I started this process by picking colors and pretty images from Pinterest, as we all do, of course. I had no specific reason for choosing them other than they were pretty. I had no connection to the images. Nothing about that design felt right. So I scrapped that one, and started all over from scratch. I took a step back and decided that I needed to plan with better intention and purpose. I want my clients to see ME. The experience they will have should resonate when they visit my site. So I went old school, and I broke out the poster board, magazines, and glue sticks! I made a mood board circa “middle school art class”(you don’t get the year). I cannot tell you how inspired I was after putting it all together. Who new all it took was a little art project for me to see what I was searching for. Armed with my mood board and my favorite images from my travels, I spent a few late nights in front of my computer just staring and thinking. After looking at just about every hex color code that exists(there are a lot, trust me), I finally pulled out a palette that I found truly inspiring and felt like me. Then I contacted Bri(Seriously, get in touch with her, you won’t regret it), and the rest is history, as they say.
So here’s a little bit of the inspiration that I used for the design of the new site. From the awe-inspiring walls of a 16th century castle to a simple cup of tea(my favorite!). I have find so much insight in the details of life. Welcome! Take a look around, push all the buttons, and leave me a little note. I hope you love my new fresh face of 2017. I can’t wait to hear from you!
